The prophet

I wanted to start reading a new book, but I ended up picking a small, dusty hardcover volume from my bedroom shelves. I had begun reading it during some hollidays I took a few years ago.

Funny thing is, it was bookmarked almost in the middle, as if I had lost all interest in it halfway through it. Yet it caught my attention again tonight. It's a 2004 edition of Kahlil Gibran's "The Prophet".

Here is a paragraph which I considered interesting, specially bearing in mind my current situation:

"Your house is your larger body. It grows in the sun and sleeps in the stillness of the night; and it is not dreamless. Does not your house dream? and dreaming, leave the city for grove or hilltop?"

So, it seems as though I will have to dream a little longer, just to make my dreams come true. And perhaps then I will have a place to sleep, where I will be able to come up with new ideas and plans for my future.
